At Eye Check Health & Vision, we understand the importance of clear vision. Our team of dedicated optometrists, with over 8 years of experience, is committed to providing prompt services and thorough eye exams for the entire family. We invite you to reach out to our team and explore our vast product offerings.
Whether you're dealing with dry eye syndrome or irregular corneas, our team at Eye Check Health & Vision is ready to help. We offer a thorough and transparent contact lens assessment. Please read the steps we take below.
Your eye doctor at Eye Check Health & Vision will first assess your overall eye health and vision. This includes the following:
We will also measure your eye’s fluid pressure to check for glaucoma, evaluate your retina and optic nerve, and test your vision with different lenses to see if contact lenses can improve your vision.
If contact lenses are suitable for you, the next step is to discuss your preferences. Do you want to enhance or change your eye color? Would you prefer daily disposable lenses or overnight contacts? Your doctor will explain the benefits and drawbacks of each option. If you’re over 40, they will discuss age-related vision changes and how contact lenses can help.
Precise measurements of your eyes are necessary for contact lenses to fit properly. Using a keratometer, your doctor will measure the curvature of your cornea. They will also measure your pupil size using a card or ruler with different pupil sizes held next to your eye to determine the best match.
If you have dry eyes, your eye doctor will measure your tear film to check for sufficiency. Insufficient tear film may make contact lenses unsuitable, but newer lenses that deliver moisture can be a better option for dry eyes.
In the fitting step, you’ll receive a trial pair of contact lenses. The doctor will check the fit and alignment of the lenses and confirm the prescription with a few tests.
After your exam, you’ll wear the trial lenses for a week and return for a follow-up to ensure they work well. If this is your first contact lens exam, inform your optometrist so they can allocate extra time for your consultation and specialized tests.

Traditional hard lenses, typically made from polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), were the original contact lenses but have largely been replaced by more advanced materials.
Benefits:
Soft lenses are made from flexible, water-absorbing materials, making them comfortable and easy to adapt to.
Benefits:
Multifocal lenses have different zones designed to correct vision at varying distances, similar to bifocal or progressive eyeglasses.
Benefits:
Limbal fit lenses are designed to rest on the limbus, the border area between the cornea and the sclera. They provide a broader fit compared to traditional corneal lenses.
Benefits:
Benefits:
Hybrid lenses combine a rigid gas-permeable (RGP) central zone with a soft outer skirt. This design aims to provide the visual clarity of RGP lenses with the comfort of soft lenses.
Benefits:
Scleral lenses are large-diameter lenses that vault over the entire corneal surface and rest on the sclera (the white part of the eye).
Benefits:
Full-scleral lenses are a subtype of scleral lenses that cover the entire corneal surface and extend onto the sclera.
Benefits:
Mini-scleral lenses are smaller than full scleral lenses but still rest on the sclera, providing many of the same benefits.
Benefits:
Semi-scleral lenses are intermediate in size, resting partly on the cornea and partly on the sclera.
Benefits:
I couldn't have been more pleased by the service I received, and the new glasses I purchased at Eye Check Health & Vision! Everyone working was super friendly, helpful, and professional!
From getting my insurance benefits recorded and approved at the start of my visit, to the eye exam, and then picking out my new prescription glasses my visit was a top-notch experience!
The technology Dr. Reppert used to show me a detailed computer image of my eye was so amazing, and everything was super sanitary! I would highly recommend Dr. Reppert and Eye Check Health & Vision to everyone!
